Просмотров 9339 лет назад
California Voters passed Prop 172 in 1993, a 1/2 cent increase in the sales tax intended for public safety including fire protection. Since then Placer County has collected more that $35 million dollars per year but has not given any of that money to the six rural fire districts - Penryn, Newcastle, Loomis, Foresthill, South Placer and Placer Hills. Sorry, but I see many that should not be riding their horse.
If they don't manage their horse properly, they never finish.... less than half the starters finish.
All about the person. Not about what is in the best interests of the horse.
If the horse doesn't want to go, he won't.... actually the horses who do these and I have one, love it! Mine is now 30 years old, has been retired for quite a few years and looks fantastic.
@@dakotalake9084' If a horse doesn't want to go........' ............it is because of the person, not the horse.
@@gerrycoleman7290 You are ignoring that an animal has a personality, makes choices like a human.... yes, horse and rider need to develop a positive relationship for the horse to be willing to do such an event as the Tevis.
Actually it definitely sounds a little old But it is moving under its own power….
Good
i wouldnt risk my horse, her welfare comes first
Thank goodness, someone who puts their horse first. Thank you for looking after what is in the best interests of your horse.
@@gerrycoleman7290 absolutley!
You don't have to go over Cougar Rock, you can go around it which is what I did each time.
Animal abusers!
You are ignorant. My Tevis horse is now 30 years old and looks fantastic 🙂
@@dakotalake9084 No, I love animals.
@@albertafarmer8638 So do I. I haven't eaten any animals in over 30 years, have you?
@@dakotalake9084 1 Tim. 4:2influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron. 3They will prohibit marriage and require abstinence from certain foods that God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4For every creation of God is good, and nothing that is received with thanksgiving should be rejected,…
This is scary to watch!
I can't decide if you folks are nuts or awesome. 🤣 Ok, the horses are awesome you folks are nuts? Yeah, that's it. Fantastic job by all. ♥️
2:37 that bay horse yanks the left hind shoe right off. I wonder if they finished?
Three Tevis buckles for my boy who is now 28 years old and still in awesome shape.... I love him dearly.
Awesome!!
@@hollyobrien2816 He will turn 30 this year 🙂
I would vote Yes but I don't want to keep alot of police, since they are the ones braking laws. And I do t want a police state.
Bogi konji
I can't believe how many of these riders don't wear helmets.
There are always a few dumb risk takers.
Can you imagine the damage to their heads if they fell off on the rocks
It's their choice I worry about the poor horses.
@@albertafarmer8638 Endurance is one of the best disciplines as far as care for the horses goes. The horse’s well-being is part of the competition. Unlike a lot of other disciplines where as long as it’s not doing a hard limp you can do whatever you want.
Appies and arabs rule.
Arabs by far.
Why most of them siting on the horse (not use more stirrups) they look like a balles not riders. I don't understand...
I dismount, and lead the horse walking behind me. I am scared.
because its the correct way to ride.
It is the correct way to ride. You can judge after you finish this ride LOL
love how the appy does it like its nothing hehe =)
So happy to find it again!
My name is Tevis!
I was at Lower quarry helping the vets when the guy on the grey mule just finished his vet out and stepped on a rock getting a nasty stone bruise :>( he got pulled right then and there
ponytales2001 Oh! That sucks! I hope they were able try again and finish the ride a different year.
Gotta Love the Western States Trail !! :>)
makes me wanna go tack up a horse and ride!
